KLX250SF

yup. supermoto time. kinda just fell into my lap.

2009 with 4300 miles and a full FMF system, renthal bars, and sport demon tires. unfortunately it's in DC and I'm in PA but I was planning on going back home this weekend anyway for the long weekend and I'll pick it up then. there goes $2900... need to sell my ninja 650r asap.

psyched to have a 250 and a supermoto! wooooooooo

As of right now, yes. My KLX has never given me any major problems and can take me to places other bikes can't all for very cheap.

It's a fun bike, definitely handles well, and has the lowest seat height of any sm that I know of. Actually compared to bigger bikes, like the DRZ, it feels like a 3/4 supermoto.

I got bored with mine pretty quickly though. With only 17hp and weighing in at over 300 lbs it's overweight and under powered for even a 250cc dirt bike. It didn't help that all my sm buddies were riding 400-500cc bikes either. The little klx just couldn't keep up lol.

The Husaberg is a lot more fun, but also requires quite a bit more attention to maintenance (seems like there is always some little thing that needs fixing). The klx is a reliable low maintenance sm that you can ride everyday!, just don't plan on doing any 3rd gear power wheelies like on the 450cc bikes.

^This is all true.

It's not fast by any means but neither is a ninja 250 and it's still fun until you ride with the bigger CC bikes.

It really is like a 3/4 supermoto. I didn't realize just how small it was until I rode with a friend this past weekend who recently bought a KTM 690 SMC. That thing is huge in comparison.

He let me ride it for a while and I fell in love. Someday I will have a "real" supermoto but until then the lil KLX will make me happy. And you don't realize how smooth the KLX is until you ride one of those big bore singles. Man, it's like hanging on to a jackhammer. Haha. 66hp and just over 300 lbs though sure is hella fun!

I wish Yamaha would sell a street legal 450 SM. I'd throw them money right now. It will never happen though.

I know they're not fast. since I moved to the city, my 650r is such a hassle, so huge and bulky, it's actually frustrating to ride. I would like to get out of first gear a LOT more often. if I get bored, I can go home and ride my SV

found some off road roads! went with my buddy who was riding my 650r. I made it 10 feet up the hill and fell over, slowly, no damage to the bike lol. I feel like it's going to fall over a lot..

still having stupid fun with this thing.. I swear half the reason I even go to class is cause I can ride this there. had to add a factory FMF heat shield because the powerbomb header thingy was melting my rain pants. otherwise it's still pretty stock but I have acerbis hand guards on the way. I've put about 1,100 miles on it and I can definitely say that it's the bike I feel most at home on after having ridden more than 90 models. although... I did enjoy the superduke 990...

It really is a great little bike! It gives you so much confidence. Sadly I'm debating getting rid of mine to make room for a XR650L supermoto. Well, it's possible. A friend is thinking about selling it and I'm thinking about buying it. Will need to test ride first to see if it's really the bike I think it is. So if you want another KLX just let me know. ;-) haha

been having a lot of fun with this bike. I'm so glad I bought it. and so glad I have nothing to do today because my whole body hurts from all that dirt riding (and falling over) yesterday

the continental tire is great but I wouldn't buy the michelin one again. but for $75 I can't complain. this thing handles better with its stock size street tires, especially in the dirt, but I guess you can't have both a 17 inch front wheel AND stock size tires
