Is 3 full turns out too much? When do I need to think about changing size of pilot jet? Still hangs a little.

I've been told 3 turns is usually the 'step up the pilot size' threshold. I'm at the same point, 3 turns and still a little lean.

so up a size it is...I think a new pilot jet came with my factory pro kit. I'll have to check that one out. Is the stock on pre gen a 40?
PS sure is a good feeling having the rest of the jetting right. What a fun bike overall! Where else can you have so much fun accelerating to a legal speed?!?

Once I install the new pilot, any suggestions for starting mixture screw adjustment?

The parts fiche I just checked lists #38 as pregen stock, just like th newgen. For starting setting, maybe a full turn out? Just a guess though.

I can pretty confidently say your guess is better than mine!
