The first of many mods.

Took the cans off my 07 250 pregen today and dropped them off to get powdercoated black. i have the black ninja with red flames, working on how to post pics for yall on here. future mods will include taking the flames off the bike and powdercoating the wheels, gas cap, and handle bar ends all the same color, not sure if i want kawasaki green or my personal favorite color purple.

On a side note when i took the cans off i let curiosity get the best of me and decided to start the bike in the garage to see how it sounds...mini heart attack i am still laughing at myself for that.

I powder coated my full exhaust and its holding up pretty well. All but the headers are intact. The paint on the headers burnt out in the first hour or so... I used non heat resistant pure polyester powder.

Oh yeah so that high temp textured stuff I coated the headers with a month or so ago got hammered on my trip to SoCal about a week after I did it. The bottom of the headers down by the oil drain just chipped away from road rocks. Ill take a better look tonight to see if the front portion is still ok. The S-bend I did "months" ago is still looking great so I may try stripping the high temp stuff off and try coating the headers with the same normal black powder.

There's also the chance that I did cure the high temp powder correctly but I doubt that.

I used High Temperature paint on the entire exhaust of my previous bike. It held on really well except for certain rusty sections.

next to come will be: getting the bike back together, LED's (you know for night time visibility purposes ) rear fender delete, darkening up my wind screen, black rims.

Powdercoat will be fine on the cans. As far as headers it was not designed for that temp. I am probably going to header wrap my pipes.
