Gerbing Heated Gear - Better than sliced bread!

Recently I purchased the Gerbing jacket liner from their Outlet store and also bought the dual controller from their main store. Earlier this week, I was riding in 20 degree F weather and my hands got very cold in the thick insulated leather gloves, so I checked out Gerbing's gloves. Ended up purchasing the heated glove liners:

They actually fit inside my insulated leather gloves. During my ride this afternoon, I used both the jacket liner and glove liners. The temp was 31 degrees F. Only set the temp controller to half-way on each liner. It was a toasty ride.

The alternator didn't have a problem, especially since I'm running the 35W HIDs. With the liners drawing 99 watts at max setting, I decided to not use the high beam, just in case I had to go to the max.

I definitely recommend Gerbing!

Typically when the temperature falls that low we have snow and riding then becomes too much of a look out for ice game than riding. If I had a dual sport with tires that could operate in these conditions a little better than sport tires I might think differently. So far just liners in my overclothes have been good enough in the 40 or so I've used them in. The heated gloves along with this might be nice though.
