Birds, Bees, and Grand Daughters

Well I wasn't in NE for a ride, and I didn't have any wheels in the SFO/SJC area to enjoy the SBR Annual Newbie ride, but I did get to spend the weekend in Morgan Hill with my Grand Daughter, her Mom, and my loving wife and try out the new camera.

Some Birds -

A Bee

And a Grand Daughter

And GrandMaMa

Grand children make everything else small potatoes and non-issues. She is a joy that is for sure.

oh my, the picture of her with the sunglasses and hat, reminds me of my daughter once upon a time. She is a little angel. As for grandpa, one of my guys gave me that nickname while we were in Iraq, as I was the oldest in the shop by far, I was 40 at the time and everyone else was late teens to late 20's, and the name stuck. I have a almost 17 yr old, going on 25, and it will be awhile before a baby calls me grandpa.

nb

congrats, she is gorgeous.

Thanks - I was concerned that I might be a little biased about how cute she is

Don, the pictures are excellent! Of course, the grand daughter has to be Grandpa's "Little Girl!"

It's been soooooooooooo long since I've seen a Humming Bird! Looks like you've got the camera down pat.

Don those are great photos!

Your Grandbaby is adorable! Though I am really impressed with the Hummingbird picture. I am glad you got out there to visit on such a great weekend!

(KK, sorry about the layover.)

I was in the neighborhood. We were at my son's house in Santa Clara watching the Sharks win one and then left SJC at 11:40 am Sunday to return to NE. I wondered what had happened to you

My son-in-law, daughter, and grand daughter live with his folks and his Mom is a Master Gardener. The yard is filled with just about everything you could think of so I had a lot to work with. There were two humming birds but managed to catch this one in flight.

It was a great weekend. If you want to see any of the other pictures PM me and I'll send you the Costco link - but have a fresh cup of coffee. Love having a digital SLR (click, click, click . . . delete later)
