Another Tiring Day...
A couple of buddies came over this morning with 7 Honda VFR wheels and 7 new tires. Got them mounted and static-balanced. All were Michelin radials except for two Meztler bias plies.
Demount/ mounting was all textbook (two tires had to be jockeyed around a bit to get the tire to seal to the rim). Two (one Michelin and the Metzler Lasertec front tire) had to be bead-broken and rotated to get a reasonably low amount balancing weights. The Lasertec front was kind of funny looking, roughly molded, and required a bit of fiddling to get it to balance. Noticed it was made in Brazil. Anyone else observed anything weird with the Brazilian Metzlers? Last futzed with by dcj13; August 31st, 2014 at 05:33 PM. |
