Coolant Reservoir disconnected hose

Hi everyone,
I am a new member. I recently bought a 2004 Ninja 250 and I am fixing all the things that need fixing/replacing. The coolent reservoir is empty and the upper hose is cut. Where is it supposed to be connected to?
The hose is Part# 39062
Thank You.

Welcome to the forum, Rob!

Upper reservoir hose is just a vent/drain to the outside world. It is routed under the air box / over the gearbox to the right hand side of the bike, then it turns downward and ends somewhere near (but not touching) the exhaust pipe. The routing is not critical.

Thank You guys. I have been lying awake at night for weeks just thinking of where it goes. No, not really. Well now, on to the next question. What kind of coolent should I use? The coolent tank is empty. What kind of brakes too? I am not a heavy footed braker. I brake softly and brake Waaaaaaay before hitting a stop.

I run the garden-variety green Prestone antifreeze that I mix 50/50 with water.

As far as brakes go, I'm guessing you're asking about pads. I bought whatever the local CycleGear had on the shelf: EBC brand, probably HH scintered material.
