Very sad day when a soldier kills his fellow soldiers and it was done on American soil.

Here is an interesting perspective on the case and what makes it difficult to track such people down before they commit their acts.

It is indeed sad that this whole episode transpired My prayers go out to all the victim`s families. It boggles my mind that someone did not connect the dots. When I was in the Army my MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was 91G40, Social Work Psychology Specialist. When I was sent to Vietnam, they used my secondary MOS, Combat Medic (91B4P). When I came back, i was again in the Mental Hygiene field. I am VERY surprised that someone did not see that coming. He sure put out a lot of signals. I would be interested in "Headshrink`s thoughts.

I saw an interview on CNN with one of the victims, a soldier who was shot a couple of times himself and saw one of his friends get shot in the back of the head. Imagine what it must be like for these men and women - you sign up expecting to face danger from an enemy in a foreign land, and instead get shot by someone wearing the same uniform on your own home base. What a terrible thing.

Yeah it's horrible that a young person had to go though something like that. But it happens every day in most big cities (needless deaths , I mean) ..the world is just getting wilder and wilder..don't expect it to start getting better now

Unfortunately I think you are right. It seems like you keep hearing of people shooting innocent people in offices or factories.
