Is it true that you never see a motorcycle parked outside a psychiatrist's office?

Do you think it really helps with depression, or see it as just as a way to vent?

I've never heard that expression before. But having hobbies in general keeps you healthy and sane IMO. Whether it be motorcycling or anything else.

Depression isn't the only reason to go to a psychiatrist. I'd probably benefit from one but don't really feel like going.

Well, I'm guessing headshrink here in these forums probably rides to work sometimes.

Its a silly slogan meant to sell t-shirts nothing more. Not mentioning any names (*cough* Snake *cough*) but quite a few of the people I know who ride could use one.

I was a psychotherapist for 30 years. The only motorcycle in the parking lot was mine.

My aunt and uncle are bikers, they own a couple o flying sofas. We had a mini get together for my moms birthday and got to talking about motorcycles since I got mine the day before.

My aunt told me how riding is somewhat theraputic. How when you ride, all you concentrate on is the road, the motorcycle, ad everything around you. There's no room for thinking about anything else, so its nice.

It made me think, and she was completely right. Even in the ride I take, which were only around the neighborhood, I realized thats all my mind was on. I didnt think maybe I should go in because when I left dinner was almost done. Also didnt think perhaps I should go in becase work was soon. So, I guess you could indeed say its true.

Understand, there are people who ride motorcycles... and there are "bikers"...

People who ride may need to talk things out from time to time.

Bikers need a full tank of 92 Octane and some new rubber... everything fixes itself after that.
