Shifter Noise?

I'm not sure if it's the norm but how loud is shifter usually? Every time I shift a gear quickly the noise it makes is pretty loud. Normal or something i should check or do?

That "clunk" noise? or a whirring noise? My tranny clunks a bit but I think that is normal. It's not a smooth transmission by any means, but it shouldn't be making horrendous noises.

Yeah it's far from horrendous but none the less it's loud enough (clunk) to hear while riding. I figured it was normal just wanted to confirm.

I mean it's my baby, first vehicle i've owned. I didn't want a cage. I want this bike to last me as long as possible. My goal, even though i get others in between, is to get the odometer to roll back to 0 since it only does 99,999km(62,500 miles).

Take care of her and she'll treat you right. Seems like a normal sound. You'll be alright.

The 250R does not have a great gear box mine depending on rpm will change with out a sound but at others makes quite a loud clunk. I was at the Kawasaki open day last week and tried out a few bikes all over 600cc and they all had better gear boxes than mine.

They all make that clunk. From the 3 I've been around in person. I think its a fine shifter for a 4k bike.
