Do you guys ware Wii safety wrist straps?
REMINDER!The results of taking them off! my brand new screen messed up LOL
I was playing wii sports while it slipped out of my hand you can see where it landed. Hope you keep your safety wrist straps on. You can see where it hit and the screen is now "bleeding" the pixels busted open or something. Lucky it didn't hit the big screen. Screen is cracked from the inside, big black square on bottom right Aisha 047.jpg Aisha 045.jpg Aisha 041.jpg Last futzed with by izmail1215; July 12th, 2010 at 12:59 PM. |

Sorry to hear about your screen. Our wii is for my oldest daughter and I make sure she wears the wrist strap. The only game I play on the wii is Monster Hunter Tri and it doesn't require much movement.
On a side note, a string of really bad matches on Bad Company 2 might cause my PS3 controller to hit break the screen too. I could happen to anyone.

Wow. I'm wondering what game you were playing as well. There aren't that many games that require such violent movements. (Wii Sports, maybe?)
(Granted, the games I do play on the Wii have such violent movements; I'm surprised I haven't threw my nunchuck at the screen.) (Edit: Oops, just saw that you were playing Wii Sports.)

Even on wii sports, I barely flick my wrist to get all the movement I need. It is fun to really get into the game though. Makes for a nice little workout.

You're not supposed to let go!
The strap is a secondary measure. Sorry about your monitor, man. |

Gotta hold onto that wii mote man, i have a habit of never using the strap unless I'm playing a sports game seriously. Man i haven't played wii in months, can't wait for Metroid Other M though.

Man, I was sitting at the computer typing with my Wii Remote strap on as recommended when I thought "this is stupid. I should only wear it when playing Wii." As soon as I took it off, a train derailed in my back yard and entered my living room, killing my cat and cracking my LCD.
I learned my lesson: ALWAYS wear your Wii safety wrist strap! |
