How much is my bike worth

Hey friends,

In a few months I'll be leaving to go traveling for 6+ months and plan on selling my beloved Ninja. I've searched craigslist a bit to get an idea of what it's worth, but have seen prices ranging from $2200-$3200. Has anyone sold/bought a Ninja close to my specs below?

The Bike:
Northern California
2009 250r - Red
10,000 miles
Never dropped, no damage at all
Completely stock
Runs perfect! All miles are highway miles (I use it to commute to work everyday)

Thanks in advance for your time and knowledge!!

Awesome, so I can list it for an asking price of $3400/3500 and see what happens. I was thinking I'd be getting $2800....this makes me happy!

It depends where in the Bay Area you are located. I've seen stock bikes sell on CL for $3800 in San Francisco. You can probably get around $3000 for it. I recently purchased a bike and was thinking I would have to spend that much, but I got really lucky.

IMO, never dropped and completely stock makes your bike worth more. I would list it at $3500 and wouldn't take less than $3200

Completely stock is definitely your advantage. I'd say $3k would be reasonable. Just remember, many buyers are looking for less than 10k miles (be it right or wrong, I was that way before), so you may have to wait a little longer to get closer to 3400 or 3500. Though it all depends on the area and I'm not from the same place as you!

with the new 2013 coming out, I would sell it as fast as you can. I donīt know how it works there in the US, but here in Brazil the price of a new 2012 one already droped US$ 750,00 from the kawi dealer

get out from under it before the "new 300cc" comes out next year. at least that is what 2009zx6rider claims. he has an "inside source."

I would list it for 3000 and take mo less than 2500

letīs hope for that. but the fact that here in Brazil the dealers already lowered the price of a new 2012 one by US$ 750,00 is still true.

http://www.kawasakibrasil.com/
(you can see it at the homepage)

with the price reduction, it is still more expensive for us then the full priced there in the US. Now it costs US$ 7k + freight
