Saturday project DIY rear stand.

So for a Saturday project I decided to build my own rear stand from some odds and ends metal I had laying around, came out well I think

Although it looks like hell till I get it painted

For the brackets I took some strap and attacked it with a grinder until it was about the right size then wrapped it with electrical tape to help protect the spools.

works well though, cost me about $5.

You might even find some plastic caps at your local office depot (computer furniture)

If I had done it any other way than welding I wouldn't have had the balls to do it at all lol, I do trust my welding though and I know that the bars I used were heck of strong enough to hold like 3 of our little bikes, but like I said I did over brace it and could probably lift a car with it. the thing about welding is that if done right the weld will have a higher strength than the steel it self, and that was some decent steel too.

Oh I wish I had a tube bender, the only way I can bend tube is the hot sand bending, but then I just used some old scrap I had from building a barn door. it is rugged though. I just need to get it painted.
