Vacuum nipple came off petcock - fix or replace petcock?
My new to me 2003 250 had an issue that's new to me. The PO had it jetted waaaaay off. In the process of fixing I had to remove the tank - while pulling the fuel and vacuum lines the vacuum nipple on the petcock pulled right out, leaving me holding a piece of vacuum line with a brass tube in the end (the nipple) - never dealt with this before. I cleaned it up and used a press to press the brass tube back in, but it's got a really slow leak now (few drops a day). The leak isn't bad, but I prefer to keep everything in perfect condition. Any thoughts for repair? I tried searching but I must not be phrasing it right - I really doubt it's never happened to anyone before. Also, the PO removed the evap canister and left the tank vent line just open- bike smells strongly of gas ALL THE TIME from that vent line. I plug it, and bike runs like ass. Guessing the tanks got no other pressure relief- thoughts?

just replace it, the rebuild is not worth the possible future issues.

that's what I was thinking - probably not worth the headaches. I'm assuming that if it leaks fuel it's leaking vacuum too - it's causing or at least contributing to some of my fueling issues. (was trying to get jetting right, but no matter how rich I go, still acts lean).
