During the winter I was working a second job over the weekends. If I remember right, that year I put right about 65,000 on a 74' Honda CB450.
I also bought spare parts every chance I got. I had 2 sets of Cylinders with Matching pistons and rings. 2 spare cases, 1 spare crank, couple sets of rods, a couple sets of heads etc etc. Some weekends were spent doing tear down and rebuild with fresh gaskets.

2009 Ninja 250R bought 10/30/08. 2,300 miles - not bad for New England as most miles put on during winter.

Update-

Tyke has over 500 miles into the new break in. Phil says they told him she needed a checkup at 500 but the manuals all say 600... I am calling in a check up because it is close enough

Now it's at my dealer's workshop, being serviced. Dropped it once, too, so I'm going to have to wait about a week or so until I get it again.

Yeah. I haven't found any active European forums on 250Rs. Maybe they're not as popular over here as in other parts of the world. Well, this forum seems to have lots of good information, so I registered. (I found it on Google when I searched for which tyres are best for the 250R).

Yup. The Ninja 250s here are of the "K" type, not the "J" type. They've don't have a fuel gauge, though, which I was a bit surprised of when I first got it.

I bought my '09 on April 10th, and it currently has ~675 miles on it. It would have more had we not had the abundance of inclement weather these past few weeks.

purchase date april 17, '09, with 2 miles on it. now it has 250 miles on it, weather has been sucking here in the seattle area, plus i have been working a lot, i would have loved it if i rode it to work on a daily basis which i am plan to since i got it, but the weather has been unpredictable. hopefully it clears up pretty soon so i can put some mileage on this baby.

800km (500 miles) in 3 1/2 weeks with some bad weather and school finals. The number will exponentially spike once I hit 1600km and it's broken in.
