You're going to find the best return policy probably at revzilla.com gtfloyd(and some numbers) has a thread in here that is a great resource for finding the right website for you. Find him, find that thread.

As far as boots go I have the SIDI ST Airs which are amazing but even if you said $200 per boot still would be too expensive...

yeah I saw a thread and asked questions but was ignored. No one answered them so I started my own. Floyd did suggest to me the BiLT Trackstarts, but I wasnt a huge fan of the styling....

As far as cheap goes bilt is pretty up there (or down there?) as the cheapest ones. I, personally, don't like Bilt for whatever reason. I don't feel the quality of craftsmanship in them but I do have a buddy who crashed wearing a Bilt helmet and I can at least say it did its job so there's that.Get a full boot, not some half ankle thing. We've all seen the pictures, you need full protection.

For other places to buy gear check out Places to Buy Gear Online thread. My favorites are Revzilla, Sportbiketrackgear.com, Motorcyclegear.com, Cycle Gear and Motorcycle Superstore.

For boots, consider the Cortech Latigo, which is the same as the Sedici Laguna and the Teknic Chicane. All to be had for about $150. Lots of boot for not a lot of money. Ankle stability system protects in all four directions, with nice lateral stability protection, which you don't usually find for under $200. I wear my Latigos most of the time, unless I'm doing walking off the bike, when my Trackstars (which don't have nearly as good of ankle support) are more comfortable.

Link to original page on YouTube.

alright thanks Floyd. Ill look into those. I like the styling and they seem like good boots. Ill be changing into my work boots when I get to work most of the time so Im not TOO worried about walking comfort although I do take it to the store sometimes so its always nice to have a comfortable boot

You can get alpinestars SMX-5's for $180 free ship. However they charge for return shipping.

Another +1 for motorcycle gear.com (the new name of newenough.com).

They have good prices and an awesome return policy.

Man if you can bump your budget up $50. The SIDI Cobra Airs are AMAZING.

I just got mine a couple weeks back and I have absolutely no complaints with them. For everyday street riding they might be a little bit overkill but they are so comfortable. Personally I like the look of the ST Air more but those are even further overkill and at $395, I just couldn't justify the extra $145 just for a boot that looks a little better. Besides, the cobras look great anyway. And if you ride in the rain a lot or live somewhere that gets really cold, they have the non-air version for the same price.

I went to cycle gear to try them on and make sure I was getting the right size then ordered them online and saved myself $20 in sales tax. So just skip one night out this month and use that extra $50.

I did you a favor of checking eBay for the Cobra Air's. Nothing good. Sells at retail on there.

yeah I checked ebay too. I was really disappointed... This was the first time in a very long time that I couldn't find something for at least $10 less than retail on ebay. But I suppose it makes sense.

The Alpinestars Ridge boots are still my commuter boot of choice. Inexpensive ($130), comfortable, waterproof, and personally crash test approved

Justin, best just to ignore or report those types of comments, which are against the terms of service of this forum and not productive, rather than respond and let the sniping take over the thread. It is perfectly valid for you to ask for opinions when are looking for new gear. That is the whole purpose of this part of the forum.

Those Spidis look really good, and comfortable too. Not going to have top level ankle protection, but at the price you are looking at there aren't a lot of great choices that do. Seems like a solid choice if you don't want to go with the Latigo.
