That's awesome. Looks like a similar color to my chin fairing and rims. Also my buddy has a '97 cbr600f3 that's bright purple like that. It looks awesome. great color choice

Kelly the painter is going to apply and clear over the tank decals.

Thanks for the link though as I will be applying the fairing and tail decals...

hmmm... why would you want to do that? if you ever wanted to change your graphic colors in the future, you'll at least have some degree of flexibility. I have Kevin's vinyl graphics over the cleared stock lettering on my tank and it's held up well even though not cleared.

OEM are cleared just figured that would be the way to go?

it would be interesting to find out why OEM tank graphics are cleared on most bikes. It could be that if gas spills while filling up, the graphics would be subject to having the adhesive loosening up, but other than that, I can't think of a good reason.

Awesome my cousin has the 2011 LE 392 hemi Blue w/white stripes, Sweet cars!!

Update!! Called the painter and I will be installing the tank decals and no clear over top..
