Riding my 250 up Mt Everest!?

Yeah ok, not so feasible. But lately I've been having dreams about climbing mountains. I think I want to get into that now, but need to start small and definitely get in shape. I might try to start with small local mountains, then progress to larger and more challenging mountains. I'd like to go to Machu Picchu in 2014, and sometime Mt. Kilimanjaro, and then one of the massive massive peaks if I am really actually into it. Anyone have any experience with mountain climbing? Anyone want to start ?!

Been to Machu Picchu (hard to breathe), been to Mt.Kilimanjaro (you know it's in Africa, need I say more), been to Mt. Blanc, flew over Matterhorn ( the one at Disney is more fun) and Mt. Everest, I'm not impressed. Only worth climbing them if you can slide down.

CC's Clearly too cool for the rest of us.

One of the hardest things about true mountain climbing is the altitude. You can start feeling the effects of altitude as low as 5k ft above sea level.

And sure, I'm climb some mountains with you.

Aside from all the obvious dangers of high altitude and the violent elements, Everest has been described by some climbers as an open graveyard. There's something like 200 dead bodies on the mountain that you'll cross twice. Once on the way up and again on the way down. At least on the way down, they'll become familiar faces.

lol 5k miles, i had a giggle, but i know what you mean.

Spent some time up in Darjeeling and also in Tibet, got to see Mt Kanchenjunga. It's awe inspiring! Yeah I could see bodies being kind of creepy, but I don't think it would phase me all too much. That is pretty tragic

She must have been talking about Space Mountain. But you don't have to climb anything.
