Skyline Drive and back

Everything came via UPS by 4pm Thursday. I did my gear change (15-41) and my Corbin seat and change oil before my trip east. I had about 140 miles on the 2012 250 Ninja and went on a three day 900 mile ride with my buddy and his 990 KTM. I left very late Thursday about 8pm and headed South along the Ohio river and about 25 miles south of Steubenville crossed over into New Martinsville, WVA to meet my buddy and spend the night at the legendary Civil War era Wells Inn. The next morning we headed towards Virginia and Skyline Drive. It was an awesome time beautiful sights and Big Meadows lodge and the bar were equally good. It's a buck-forty a night but it's worth it. Had a good breakfast and headed out north got off the Skyline Drive at Front Royal. These are big mountains and I couldn't believe the number of pedal bikers slugging it out going up the hill. Ended up in Hagerstown for the evening at the Clarion Convention Center. Lucky I brought my suit and some Captain to go with the coke! Livin' the highlife! Check out the sign at the Cancun Cantina! I was very pleased with the gear change. Lowered my RPM's almost a 1,000. There wasn't a hill/mountain I couldn't take at 55mph in 4th gear. My Corbin seat is almost broke in. It's better than the stocker because it will retain it's firmness a lot longer. After maybe 350-400 miles you still sink into seat slightly but still way more comfortable than stock. At about 630 miles I noticed at idle my tach read about 400 rpm's higher so I turned the throttle knob down to get RPM back to where it should be. I'm thinking that's probably the point where the motel started really breaking in.. anyways good trip, plenty of scenery and the bike meet and exceeded my expectations. Wardie
