Need some input on which bike?
Alright...I have some bikes I'm gonna check out. I have a few questions to the Ninjette community tho...
What's the most popular color ninja 250? I'm thinking it's the green...but want to know for sure. I want something more unique and fun yet easy to accessorize. I am going to see a passion red 2008 ninja 250r tomorrow. It has been lowered...bonus...cause I'm short.... Mods....lowering kit, seat cowl, fender eliminator, new brake pads and spark plugs, helmet and gas tank protector. Then Wed. going to see a black 2009 ninja 250r. Which has the following mods.... Carbon Fiber Tank Protector, Carbon Fiber Hot bodies MGP Growler exhaust, Painted Windscreen, Targa Fender Eliminator, Mini Carbon Fiber LED Tail Blinkers, Sticker Delete, Dynojet Stage II Jet Kit with #100 Main Jet, Rear Seat Cowl (have Rear Seat too), Bike Cover Or a Ninja 250r 2009 Special Edition with no mods....straight stock. Now all these bikes are roughly the same price and I just need some input on what this community thinks about my options. Keep in mind, I haven't seen (in person) any of the bikes yet....but I would love to know what everyone thinks is the better bike just from what has been put down here. Thanks!!! |

I would go with the bike that has all documentation, keys, receipts for parts/service records and has all maintenance up to date.
If all is else is equal (very rarely ever is), just know that green bikes are the fastest. http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22645 |

My opinion is to go for straight stock, so you know exactly what has been to the bike, who did it, when it was done, how well it was done, ect. I would also look into how many miles is on each bike. Like I said my opinion.
I could not tell you which color is most popular, but it seems to me that not really one color is way more popular than any other. Maybe you should make a poll on who has what color bike? |

IMO I would go with the straight stock bike, unless the mods that were done to the bike is something you like or planned to do as well.

No offense Alex.... I have red and green and green is totally faster. Could be the 6' list of mods done to it though.

Yea, I wanted a mod exhaust and wanted the fender eliminator for sure! In all honesty....that's like a few hundred more dollars on the bike and the stock one is a little more than the modded ones.....then I would have to put my own mods on and I won't be able to do that for a while.....Oh I'm so torn!!! lol

if all else between the bikes are equal on the points I listed earlier, get the stock bike.
you haven't mentioned it, but what's the respective mileage on these bikes? |

have all the bikes had the 600 miles service done?
I'm guessing the red one has considerably more miles with the brake pads and plugs having been changed out. |

I think it should also be disclosed that the black one is a forum members bike who says he needs to sell before deployment.
http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=50238 I think if it is possible and the bike is in order that we should try to help out our other members. I don't know the history on the other ones. Any of the other bikes for sale by forum members?

She would def be in a good home! I wouldn't let anything happen to her! I already know the bond people develop between themselves and their bike! I'm hoping to have that too! Also the black one would make me and my BF look like twinkies goin down the road....since his bike is black. lol

Green may be faster than red, or red may be faster than green.
I don't know, because they're both too far behind by blue bike to tell. BTW, black is hell to keep clean. The bike will always look ratty unless you pay a LOT of attention to it. |

OK, maybe a bit premature.

Haha @ Alex....you are silly. Yea...it might be a bit premature...but I know that no matter what I get....it will be my baby. I'm a girl that has always given names to my cars....I'm sure I will do the same to my bike! The black bike was actually posted on this forum and that's how I found it!
http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=50238 They are all in the attachments below. Right now I'm totally leaning towards the black one...not only is he a member but it's a pretty sic bike! I get to go see it on Wed. My only concern with the black one so far is....will I fit? haha |

Green is like the wind...It is destructively powerful (as in its so fast it destroyed everything around it) and fast
But I do believe whatever you get you will enjoy it the black one definitely has some good +'s and will save you some money on mods that you may have wanted to do as you have the bike for longer periods of time. In your case it just might be black 250 FTW.

Oh the black one for SURE! All those mods? Sick price? Damnit if I didn't already have mine I would get that one without a doubt! It's obviously been loved and having the mods already done...BOnUs! I would SO love to have all my mods done already. Plus a man going to serve for our country, he deserves to sell it most!
PLUS, it's freakin' SEXY as HELL! +1 for team black!

I'm with Kelly on this one. Military, and a forum member? Hard to beat that. That would sway my purchase, to be honest. Although if I was going on color only, it would be the Passion Red all the way, with the '09 black a fair second, and the '09 SE a very, very, (need the Hubble telescope to find it) distant third.
