GMR (So Cal Twisties) Group Ride April 3rd...who's in?

KC/Ninja250 and I/Adri99an are heading up a group ride through the infamous GMR....

Everyone is invited, but you should know that this is a very challenging road. Last time we went up we had 2 go down...nothing major in injuries---PROTECTION HELPS!!

Our meet up spot will be determined later. For the time .... we should be leaving somewhere around 10am or so....food to follow after our ride

Before you join us on this venture I recommend wearing full protection gloves,jacket,pants/1pc suit, and ankle protective footwear.

If any of you have additional information, I will update this thread as we go along.

So who's in So. Cal???

I don't know that I could get away with the 4th (although, easter egg hunting on GMR does sound phenomenal

), but I'm in for the 3rd as long as it doesn't rain. You might want to change the title of the thread with the new date.

KSU 10am (Kick Stands Up)

We will GAS up and Cell up....then head to the of entrance GMR (backside). The first round headng up will be entirely precautionary...checking road conditions....and letting riders familiarize themselves with the road (to some degree). Once at the top...1st pit stop (Morris Reservoir outlook). Continue to GMR lookout (10 minutes). Once there...rest up. Turn around and head down GMR......by this time our tires and mindset should be ready for some twisties....

Im looking to get some food after if anyone wants to join me.......

Which corner of this intersection are we meeting at?? my wife and I will be joining this ride and the food after ride! We look forward to it! Quick question:: We are not heading up from Asuza Rd this time?? I thought this way up might be easier for warming up tires?? Thx!!

I thought about that...since we went up that way the last time but I think this might be better for time and fun.....the first time up will simply be checking road conditions (rocks, debris)---by the time we get up to our first lookout the tires will definately be warm....and if you are traveling from Torrance---your tires will be warm as well....I've gone up this way many times and the tires warm up pretty fast......

Meet up is at the Flagg Gas station at Lone Hill and Route 66.....

10am

KSU 10:15 or so......

Food for sure....maybe KC will order that giant meal again...take two bites and ride with the rest of it home......

I still need to paint my fairings too, but I don't think I'll be ready or finished in time. So you guys are probably going to have to deal with my ghetto hand crafted crack repair and my snazzy coat of custom carved road rash

I might have to take it a little easier this time though, since I've only actually been up there once, and I don't really remember it too well.

As long as everyone is able to make it, this is going to be another epic turnout. Just 3 more weeks- I look forward to seeing everyone there

Ugh...I've been so busy the past few weeks that I haven't even had time to post the fact that I'm going...Luckily the 3rd is my day off and I don't have to be anywhere! This should be awesome. I'll be "warming up" on Mulholland if anyone wants to join this weekend.

I think I'm sitting this one out. I went kayak surfing and beat up my arms and legs, then yesterday, went climbing for way too long so now my hands and back are no longer cooperating with the rest of my body.
