Hello all new here

Hey there everyone just picked up a 2010 250r 6,500 miles for $1,100... did I do well? I had a question what could this switch be for towards the front of the bike? Pretty sure it’s aftermarket.. thanks in advance for anyone who has a clue

Definitely after market. I don't want to guess what it's for, you'll have to pull off the fairings and trace the wires. If you post some pictures of where the wires go, we could probably tell you what it does.

Welcome to the boards!

Thank you and thank you, I plan on taking the fairings off and possibly painting the bike but not until I put t least 1,000 miles on it. At that time I will change spark plugs oil and filter, and try and see where the wiring goes for that random switch. Is there anything else I should change or clean while I’m in there?

Coolant and brake fluid would be a good idea to change, and give all the hoses a good look. Valve check is at 7,500 miles and shouldn't be ignored.

Salutations and Greetings!

Be sure you're off bike when pushing button! Might be ejection-seat!!!
