New Puig smoked windscreen, fender eliminator, brake service, oil change, and stuck a tailbag on him. Good day, he looks so pretty now!

NOTHING! I took the van to work as I have to make a large delivery and can't use the ninjette.

However, last night I rode around rural MT, then my son and I installed a FIAMM Freeway Blaster on it. 130 dB it's not, but it's definitely better than stock.

Installed my ASV clutch lever only to find out my clutch cable is about 50% frayed through. Lubed the cable for the first time and the clutch pull is so smooth. Will place an order for a new clutch cable sometime next week.

Went to a track yesterday to even out the wear on my tires Now I just gotta remove the masking tape before it bonds to my headlight lens as well as install everything I took off.

Side note, PJ-1 Blue label chain lube is some good stuff! Really tacky when cold and then slippery when hot!

Yeah, I'm a cheap bastage and like to use up what I have laying around. Some WD-40 on the adhesive will clean it up good

In my opinion I find that the compound used in the BT-16s to be stickier than the new s20 compound but it looks like the S-20 will outlast the BT-16 in terms of wear.

Edit: Our photographer is still cropping and uploading pics so it'll be a while before I can get some pictures up. I plan on doing a write up in "Ninjettes at Speed" section.

Rode it to work and back.

Reconnected the front right turn signal like 3 times! Can't wait to have a chunk of free time to install molex connectors. It's been a PITA in the last week, keeps coming loose.

Put a dark smoke Zero Gravity double bubble, so easy...

Installed Woodcraft clip-ons, no big deal, just time consuming trying to get nothing to hit the faring.

Installed Woodcraft rear sets. We had some trouble making the brake light indicator spring work right, it had a tendency to get caught with the brake pedal return spring. And we were puzzled that we couldn't shift in 2nd until I remembered the positive find neutral that prevent to shift in 2nd if the rear wheel is not moving. These are some very, very aggressive knurled patterns.

Installed Pazzo levers, easy one too...

I really like the new riding position, less wrist ache, and better weight distribution on the seat...

Now, waiting to get my fork tuned with the gold valves and right springs from race tech...

But I don't know I wait before putting some pre-load adjusters, the OEM thing is not a nice view while standing at a red light...

And most important, thanks for all those so nice DIY and comments, they helped a lot during our modifications evening.

Replaced my clutch cable and now my shifts are as smooth as they used to be.

Adjusted my throttle cables for less free play and did an oil change with Rotella T6. I also took an oil sample to send out to Blackstone because I'm a nerd.

I was planning on resetting my CCT but there was way too much **** in the way, I might just replace it with a manual CCT when I get around to doing my valves.

Went on a ride today through the forest early this morning. Talk about excruciating wrist pain. I will be doing the zip tie throttle mod and investing in a crampbuster. I will also be investing in some Kerosene and a squirt bottle to clean my chain. WD-40 isn't cutting it with PJ-1 blue label.

I just did an oil change and will be sending off the second sample to Blackstone. Oil run time ~2200 miles w/ one track day.

I'll be needing to find some downtime to do my second valve adjustment. Considering shimming my cush drive too.

Rode home from Maine. Broke down twice. Lost my speedo cable, trip odometer and the light on the speedo gauge. This is me re-connecting the cable, also trying to figure out why the bike was starving for fuel.

Nearing 7k miles now. Today was the ride from Hell.

4 state weekend trip!

Left Dallas this Friday afternoon heading north. Rode through Texas, Oklahoma; then Arkansas--stayed night in Ft Smith.

Saturday, headed to Ozark, then rode Pig Trail three times, messed around on other *fantastic* roads in Ozark Nat'l Forest. Then to Fayetteville (my old alma mater is Univ. of Ark.). After exploring Fayetteville, went south to West Fork (used to live there). Then got a bug to cross some state lines, so I headed north to Joplin, Missouri. Then I figured I might as well see some of Kansas too, so jogged west Galena, Kansas. Returned to Ozark NF, cooled off in what's left of the Mulberry River, and stopped for night.

On Sunday, headed south to Mena, then rode Talimena Scenic Parkway twice. Heavy gusting winds in DeQueen, AR--nearly got hit by a purple plastic bucket that flew off hillside and whipped across road. Return to home in Terrell.

Total mileage for weekend trip was 1227 mi.

Average gas mileage was 41.5. (lots of WOT redline stuff in twisties, and cruised 85 mph on interstate). Zero oil burned. I am amazed that you can abuse this engine like a rented mule and it never misses a beat or burns any oil. Mind you, this was in 105 degree heat for most of the day.

Folks, I've got a 2012 Ninjette, and this is one heck of an impressive bike. It absolutely shines in the twisty mountain stuff--superb handling, light weight, and plenty of power for those conditions.

As for long distance riding.....I actually like this bike much more than my 2005 Yamaha FJR for solo touring. Really only thing 250 can't do better than FJR is high speed passing on 2 lane roads. But the older I get, the less keen I am on super-high speed passing on 2 lane roads, so that's not much of a drawback to me.

Stock seat was actually decent. And one great thing about the seating position on this bike is you can so easily stand up, stretch, hang off either side, and generally find some way to be comfortable as the miles rack up.

But will look at Corbin seat tomorrow; maybe also a Throttle Meister.

Rode to work and back. When I got home, I installed molex connectors on the back turn signals wiring.

can't wait to do that in front, they've been coming loose way too often lately. Part of me is waiting to find new turn signals, but I should just do it anyway.

Put about 80miles on it. Still breaking it in, Also some asshole called the cops on me and a police chopper showed up, followed me around for a bit and sure enough...patrol car shows up right behind me. Luckily i saw the chopper before he saw me, so they technically never caught me going 40 in a 25zone

Painted the faces of the front cowling flat black to reduce glare. Works great.
