Hows the weather

So it's the end of October, and here in Eastern KY, It's going to be close to 70 degrees today. Gotta love the Indian Summer. It's also very beautiful out with all the trees changing colors. Supposed to rain the rest of the week, but temps still touching 70. Pretty cool. Weather here is always unpredictable.
Hows the weather everywhere else?

Hot and humid! Damn, it's been a sauna lately! Highs near 90 and lows in the high sixties.

There you go again, reminding everybody that we (not me at the moment, but in spirit )live in year 'round riding weather with bikinis at the beach on Christmas day. Socal is sunny, in the 70's -80's and lows in the 60's. Damn Kelly, now you got me doing it.

kkim, you DO realize that we mainland dwellers laugh at people from Hawaii every time they complain about the weather, right?

I live in Connecticut. We get 90s and 90+ percent humidity here, too.

AND we get blizzards.

And our weather is by no means extreme.

I said thank you see you next year to my mesh jacket when it got little chilly couple weeks ago here in LA but looks like I need his service a little bit more.

Great riding weather high in mid 80's, sunny and dry

Weather here is kinda stupid. It's hot as hell, or freaking cold. Why cant we have one month of San Diego weather???

Yesterday it was 47deg when we left out for our ride, think it got up to 67deg. Seems nice out right now thou......

Seasons are what provides a glorious variety to life here in the Northeast.

I lived in North Carolina for awhile, and the relative lack of seasons really got to me. I thrive on having four distinct times of the year...makes you appreciate the good days all the more when you don't have an endless stream of them.

Ah, San Diego. I'll be back in GA some day but I'm enjoying it while it lasts. I was soaked in sweat when I came back from a multi-hour ride yesterday... particularly, my knees and thighs, and yet I was wearing light pajama pants under my mesh riding pants (Shhh! No one could tell).

In the wind, it's getting chilly at late night/early morning, but I consider that "comfortably cool," regardless of what they call it around here ("freezing cold").

Nice today around 50-ish but, darn, I had to take the cage to work. Unfortunately, the first real winter storm will be here with the first real snowfall of the year Thursday will be a ride to work day - sunny and 41

Jeff,

When left the house this morning it was 28 degrees. It was nice (about 50) arround noon. Yeah I'm not looking forward to snow tomorrow.

After today no bike for two days.

hot today, I like cool cloudy weather. and the annoying thing is its usually too cold to wear my mesh jacket in the morning but too hot in the afternoon to wear my textile jacket (without the liner).

If it would stop raining on and off every couple hours, it's pretty nice riding weather during the day. At night it's getting toward freeze-your-butt-off weather. Still got several months before I have to wear long sleeves and sweatpants under my gear.

Me and my new Olympia jacket got to know each other this morning. 56*, cloudy and some wind. I was nice and warm.

I may need to get something to cover my legs some...those were rather chilled this morning. Normally I am fine, must have been a humidity thing.

Apex: Not to derail, but, I've rode in weather down to about 20F with my Cortech Caliber pants (with liners installed) with no cold issues. A proper base layer would even make it better. Riding pants work really nice in chilly weather.

Not snowing yet here. It should soon.

I stole some knee-high cotton leg warmers from the misses for cold rides. They go on and off easily and definitely keep your shins nice and warm. I just wear thicker cotton boxer shorts that keep my thighs plenty warm. Give the legwarmers a try, they're probably already sitting in your wifes dresser just waiting for a practical use!

I am not complaining too much about socal but, I do not like this weather that is just dancing around 70. In the morning it feels fine to be wearing a jacket and in the afternoon it is too hot!

73F and rain showers. Heading into summer so will be getting more afternoon thunderstorms and temps will go up as will the humidity.
Had to go across town today to visit a tyre store and got caught in the rain on the way home, so now the bike is filthy

I'm going to ride to Hollywood beach in a little while to take advantage of it. How far are you from Pembroke Pines? I will probably go to the bike night at Hooters on Pines Blvd tonight. I haven't been there in a while.

I actually live about 2 miles from hooters, right by memorial hospital. Unfortunately I work wednesday nights, so no bike nights for me.

It's going to be -1C (~30F) and sunny up here (Montreal, Canada) tomorrow morning and I'm planning on riding in to school.

I tend to over do it, but there's just something about being toasty as the crisp air rolls over you. Here's my gear.

Head:
-Ski mask (very thin)
-Helmet

Upper Body:
-T-shirt
-Fleece sweater
-Leather jacket
-Heavy leather gloves

Lower Body:
-Jeans
-Rain Pants
-Boots (A* MX-4)

Cagers look at you like your nuts, well maybe just a little

We are running temps in the 40`s and 50`s. Still no snow. Have been layering up and am still riding. Am going to physical therapy twice a week with a 90 mile round trip twice a week. Saves a lot on gas. We are expecting a mild winter.
