What stage jet kit?
I've been having an idle issue on my 2010 ninja and with some help from forum members narrowed it down to my pilot jets. I'm not yet very tech savvy on these bikes so I'm going to have a shop clean them. I've decided if they're tearing the carbs down anyway why not have a jet kit installed. I have a danmoto slip on and will prob do a k&n. But I'm confused what stage I need. I tried to search, but wasn't sure how to phrase my question. What are the different stages for? Please direct me elsewhere if this is covered and I just couldn't find it.

The different stages are for if you're keeping the airbox or not.
Stage 1: for use with the air box. Remove the snorkel, use a k&n drop in filter (or keep the snorkel and stock filter, that works too) and any exhaust you want. Stage 3: for use without the airbox. Use a k&n pod filter on the carbs, and any exhaust you want. Basically they all have the same needles. The only difference is the jet sizes that are included. For example, a bike without an airbox will need larger jets than a bike with an an airbox. Posted via Mobile Device |
