Can I adjust the Speedo?

My Speedo seems to be showing me going slower than i actually am. Its there any way i can adjust it or should i take it to my local bike shop?

It is a mechanical gear driven instrument attached to the front wheel. No adjustments can be made to calibrate it. The speedo can be around 5-7 mph off. This is normal for many gear driven speedos. Electronic ones tend to be more accurate.

It is attached to the front wheel, and that range is exactly what its Off by dependin on the mph so no adjustments can be made? That sucks looks like I'll have to compensate then. Thanks for the speedy reply :-)

You say it "seems" to be off. If you're not using a GPS then a good way to check your speedo is to get on I-75 and ride next to a late model Honda Civic.

You can see the digital MPH display on the dash quite clearly. It's big and bright.

I just gps'd the bike on my phone and it's about 1mph off at 30mph.
