Pilot jets

I made an earlier post about the idle problem I'm having since switching to a shorty exhaust and a pod filter.
I figured I could get size 40 jets in there instead and bring the idle back to normal. I didn't buy a jet kit so it's been more of a pain then I expected.
Does anyone happen to have an extra pair of size 40 pilot jets from their kit that they don't need?
I'll obviously pay and what not.
I just wanna ride my bike again! Please help if you know what else there is I can do! Check out my other post for the whole story! Thank you!

I just bought 4 new EBC #40 Pilot jets (supplier in Canada only ships 4). I haven't installed mine yet as my bike is running great with my main swap and 3 washers on my needles.

Not really sure what your idle issue is, but a pilot change is going to affect your mid range more and not idle.

Read your other post.....

With a K&N 0990 and a slip on I was running 107.5 Keihin mains, 3 washers and and 2.75 turns. I could have went up a jet size as it was a bit lean on cooler days. This is at about 800 ft above sea level.

You are too lean.

As for the high idle, Sounds more like an vacuum leak you created when you opened up the carbs. Double check your work.

So you think I could keep the 38s for the pilots I have in there now? Mid range is great. It's just that high idle that's wrong right now. If you think 38s will be good on pilots, ill go ahead and put it all back together and check for leaks.
Thank you for your help!

Here's mine at the moment (same altitude as before):

2012 250, Area P full quiet core exhaust, KN 0990, pregen CDI wired in, non stock gearing......Currently at 115 mains, 3 washers on the 38 Pilot and 2 3/4 turns. My bike runs amazing at all speeds/rpms now and is a blast to drive. It's bringing out the hooligan in me lol. I could dial it back to 112.5's, but I'm planning a motor build over the approaching winter. I might mess with the 40 pilot after the motor build, but it runs so sweet now.

I would look into either an air leak around the boots, did you put both throttle cables on correctly with enough slack/play? Is the choke cable actually going off with the lever? When you messed with the needles you didn't tear the diaphragms?

I've never had a high idle issue like that with pulling my carbs multiple times that's why I suspect a user oopsy.....just hard to pinpoint through the internet without seeing it.
