Valve problem what next?

So I was going to adjust valves and found this mess. The clip came off the valve spring and the roller rode sideways and ate up itself and the cam. Then there were also these broke pieces under valve cover. Any further guidance would be appreciated. I bought this bike and have been tinkering with it. Carbs seem to be running decent but this valve problem errr. Thanks in advance gents

Yes, side guide for rocker is broken on one side. This allows rocker to worm its way out.

This is usually caused by using too much torque when tightening adjuster locknut. Best to use torque-wrench to tighten locknut.

Should check all other rockers to make sure none of others are broken or cracked.

Also be sure to use full-synthetic oil.

I know it's a lot of work but I would remove the head and strip it.
Replace all damaged parts clean and grind in all valves then set up the valve clearences it's much easier with the head off.

If that engine was running, did you remove the valve collets & spring retainer? If not you will have a loose valve dropping into the piston. Get the head off. Check for damage. Do what's required to replace/repair or buy a replacement head.
