RPM problems on 2010 ninja 250r

hello guys, ok.. so my BRAND NEW 2010 250r just rolled past 300 miles last night... i changed the oil (yes i tq spec) last night it seemed great, but today when i took it out, the RPMS were WAY high.. normally 60pmh im around a comfortable 7500-7800 rpms... today i am at 9000, and the bike feels like a sled. when i filled oil i slightly overfilled BUT the level was still beneath top line..... on a side note it was 80 degrees today... but not sure if that really could make that kind of difference.

Changing your oil should not cause those issues. You might want to check your cdi.

The ignition on this bike is a joke.
Upgradeing is cheap though.

Pick up a race CDI from Sportisi.
I ordered mine last week. Can't wait

TSI came in the mail this week.
As soon as it's on the bike I'll post an update.
Might not be this weekend though, as I have to get the car ready for racing season.

Got the TIS on the bike now.
Rode it to work this morning (1 hour ride) no issues.
Was cool out though, so there probably wouldn't have been any with the stock ignition either...
On the way home it should hit 90s, so if I experience any issues, I'll post again.
If not, consider it solved
