North Georgia March 28

Anyone interested in riding in North Georgia on Saturday, March 28? Ellijay, Suches, Dahlonega area. My kids are going to their mom's that weekend, and my 500 mile break in will be far behind me.

Hmm... That's just South of Deals Gap a bit. I've driven that area before. Down from the Gap over to Dalton and back up 75 to Knoxville. It's a beautiful area with some very interesting roads.

There are great roads there. 129 over Blood Mountain, 180 over Wolf Pen Gap, Hwy 60... good stuff.

I'm in Athens. Can't make it on the 28th, but I'd be up for it sometime.

We'll wait until it gets a little closer, and figure out who will be coming from where, and then we'll set a meeting place and time. Dahlonega, Helen, Blairsville, Ellijay, wherever works.

I'll be staying at a cabin in Ellijay that weekend. That area wouldn't be a bad start. 515 comes right through there, and Doublehead Gap heads to Suches from there, which leads to Wolf Pen Gap, 129, Dahlonega, Helen, etc

Circumstances have changed for me. March 21 is going to work better. Weather permitting. How does that look?

i think i'm gonna wait until the weather is awesome like it was last weekend -- mid 70's+ and sunny. i'd have to leave athens early to get up there, and i hate long rides on cold mornings.

that said, i'll keep an eye on next weekend's forecast and let ya know.

I'm the same way. If I'm going to freeze to death I'd rather just stay home.

There will be other weekends. I looked at my calendar wrong and got my weekends backwards. I'm an idiot.

Weather permitting though, I'll still ride on the 21st.

Hm, I will have to sit out this one. My best friend just told me he's coming down on his military leave to come see me. Have fun and be safe!
