Big Cottonwood Breakfast Ride

Clint (nevrfastenough), Idris (alfmoonspace), Eric (ericdrum), and I took a ride up Big Cottonwood Canyon. Great weather and roads. First off, thanks to you guys for making long rides to meet up near the canyon. We met up at the bottom of the canyon and road up to the Silverfork Lodge for breakfast. Great times and lots of bike talk, just as it should be. Clint and Idris, nice new bikes! . You guys need to post photos of them in the Ex-Ninjette Lair.

After breakfast I went ahead to take photos of the guys coming down the mountain and darn if my camera batteries didn't die right before the others came by. Sorry guys . We'll have to do it again so I can get some photos

Photo notes: First photo: Clint is on the left, Idris in the center, and Eric on the right. Great mountain views on the patio. Huevos Rancheros, mmmmmmm. And the canyon.

Looks like it was a good time. Sorry I couldn't make it. I love the food at Silver lodge.

Jeff- Thanks of trying to get a shot, that "S" bend was packed with cars driving down! Have to do that ride again!

Eric- How did the ride back down feel? Is that a good setting for you? Did you feel it is quite a bit stiffer, which to me, equals more fun!

Clint- Don't forget the State Farm number! haha, also sweet looking bike man.

We should all have a maintenance day and mods day, that way i can play with my bike in a garage (I have covered parking) .

BCC is a great ride! We lived at the U, while my wife was finishing her PhD, many years ago. Spent a lot of great Sunday mornings on an old R90/s going for breakfast burritos at Silverfork Lodge and also at Ruth's Diner.

Yeah, I like the setting. I seem to feel the road much more now and in a good way.

Yeah, I'm down for a mod day! Any time you guys want to do it is fine with me. My schedule is usually pretty open.

If you go to Ruth's try the breakfast burritos! The biscuits are also heavenly (hope they still serve those, been a few years)

Another other good ride, though longer, is up highway 39 out of Ogden up to
Woodruff.
