FS: White Ninja 300 $4000

(One week sale, $4000, see post 15 below!)

Howdy folks,

Up for sale is my white 300. She is in great shape, has never been on the ground, owned by an experienced rider, and with only a few, tasteful mods. I have the clean and clear title in my hand for an easy transaction. Cash only, please. You can hear me rave about this bike on my youtube channel, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6f_VHe1wKw. Check out my other videos for a long-term update, as well as an on-track vid.

Mods:
1. Tank Protection Kit (CF, custom made)
2. 15t Front Sprocket: HIGHLY desirable mod, check the forums. This makes 1st gear usable, and lowers the rpms for highway cruising. The stock, 14t sprocket will go with the sale, and can be replaced easily.
3. Upgraded HH Sintered Front Brake Pads: Necessary!
4. NEW Diablo Rosso ii tires. These are KILLER tires, $400 for the set, installed. Only have a few commuter miles and one track day on them. Look brand new except for a few track boogers on the edge.
5. Genuine Kawasaki touring windscreen (pics show stock screen, but check out youtube vids for this one). Both windscreens go with the sale.

Full Disclosure Considerations:
1. Mileage is at 7800, but goes up EVERY DAY, as my bike is my primary mode of transportation.
2. I did an oil change service at about 6k (early), so decided to put off the 7500 mile service until around 10k. That means that I haven't checked the valve clearance yet. I doubt they'll need adjusting, even at 10k, but that's a service that you will want within a couple thousand miles.
3. On the top of the tank is a small paint blemish from a dropped tool (and my attempt to polish it out). I didn't want to pay to repaint, so I had the tank protector custom made. So not only does it protect the tank from a tank bag, or anything else dropped, it also hides a small blemish (about the size of a quarter). Only relevant if you thought you'd want to take off my tank kit; just didn't want a buyer to have a nasty surprise!

Happy to answer any questions. Bike is located in Germantown, MD (just outside DC), and I’m widely available if you’d like to check it out.

Thanks! Probably an FZ6R. Something bigger for my all-interstate commute (and faster for the track, so I can be sloppy lol).

Haha. Yeah, we're not exactly neighbors. I tell ya' what, though: if I haven't sold it by October, I'll ride it down to you when I go to a conference down your way -- then it'll REALLY have some miles on it!

Well it WAS. But that was a whole 10 months ago. Now the Yammi is everything I ever wanted in a bike.

Soooo, yeah. Moto-ADD. Not currently covered by my health insurance.

Surprised to see you selling so soon. Do you wish you would have kept the triple now?... and what's up with the FZ6R lately?, seems like a popular bike around here all of the sudden?

Nah, I'm just learning about things I like and don't like in bikes. The triple made me realize that I want a fairing and windscreen, and a less 'responsive' engine/throttle for my only bike. The 300 made me realize that, if I live in the burbs and ride 15k mi/year, much of it on the interstate, I want something bigger, punchier at high speeds, and more stable.

The FZ6R is just a great bike. The more I look into it, the more I realize that for people like me who want a one-bike solution, and who ride A LOT, there are very few bikes as good. The GSX650F maybe was, but they don't make it anymore and are hard to find. The Ninja 650 is a good option of you don't mind the twin, but I'm ready for that silky-smooth I4. Just learning, man!

PS: Bump for a 1-week sale! Buy before I leave for Motogp in IN (leaving the weekend before), and I'll let it go for $4000!

What I paid for my 250 a month ago is the cost of your asking price now. Lol.

Ugh, that's such a beautiful bike too.

Sale still pending. I went on vacation, so I'm supposed to take the bike to the buyer tomorrow. But if he bails, I'll update the thread.

Where did you get that tank kit made at?? That is very sweet! Too bad I didn't see this post about 3 weeks ago when I visited my buddy in DC. Of course at the time I wasn't looking either.

The tank pad was custom made by Lucas at thetankslapper.com. He's a great guy, and I'm sure he kept the pattern. I've sent lots of folks to him from my youtube channel, so he's probably already sold some additional ones. If you're interested, just drop him a line -- I'm sure he'd be happy to hear from you.
