Adjust the shift lever up. I have Woodcraft rear sets as well, you just can't really have the shift lever angled down at all, pretty much parallel with respect to the road is about as far down as you can angle them before you start having contact issues.

I just trimmed my shifter with a hand file until it would travel full distance with out contact, i couldn't ride it with the shifter in a higher position it was to weird.

I dont know how I feel about hacking up something I paid $330 for haha! Has to be a solution I am about ready to just cut the kick stand off and hire someone to just hold my bike up when needed. I think I could find a illegal immigrant willing to do it for a few beers a year.

if you take your time and do a nice job it is not even noticeable, slap a little paint on the bare alloy and you are good to go.

if you didn't need the spacers on the brake side try putting them on the shifter side, that might give you the clearance you need.

I didn't need the spacers on the brake side for my 2012

I needed them for mine, I emailed woodcraft, the spacers id need would be pretty large I think bigger than the size that is on the brake side.

I know my shifter had clearance issues in two spots on the side stand. First was the metal piece that the side stand spring anchors to, and the second was closer to the front of the shift lever where it contacted part of the side stand base.

I am assuming you got the full rearsets that included the levers? Did you try using the stock shift lever instead of the woodcraft? That might at least get you by until you come up with a solution with out having to sacrifice the position of the shifter. Like I said I tried it with the shifter in higher position but I couldn't stand it so out came the metal hand file. I tried a dremel tool at first but the alloy was melting? or something and gumming up my grinding bits which meant little to no actual grinding was taking place

I have not got all the way through this thread, but through a couple customers we have been made aware that there are some people that want to be able to move the shifter lower.

We originally made these rearsets for a race bike, and they work perfectly there. It seems that all of the issues are with the proximity to the side stand. If you would send a photo of what you did to info@woodcraft-cfm.com we would be very appreciative to see what you did to make them work they way you wanted them to.

We want everyone to be happy, and if there is something that we can do to make them better, we will do our best to do it.

Awesome to see your a part of the community now. There are a variety of people on here who have modded their rearsets to work. I hope they will post up.

I can send in my stock ones if he needs.

Is there anyone with a bike near him that he can use?

sorry for delay in pictures, I have been moving the last few days and it has not been on my priority list and since my phone camera is busted I will need to put forth a little effort and dig up my actual camera.

Ill probably get a picture this weekend up.

One other issue that WC might be looking to address and equipping the necessary hardware to hook the rear brake light switch up with out finagling it on with the left over stock pieces.

Just a thought
