New 250 owner in CT

Hey everyone! I am the proud owner of a blue 2009 Ninja. I am 20 years old and this is my first motorcycle. I picked it up a few weeks ago for $3400 with 3800 miles on it. It's in great shape. I finally got to the DMV on Tuesday and got my license and got it registered. I've put about 175 miles on it since then. It's so much fun! Riding came pretty naturally to me since I do a lot of mountain biking too. I still need to work on my shifts though .
Here are some pics:

The previous owner installed a fender eliminator kit. I like the look but I don't like the way the blinkers are attached. Any suggestions on that?
They also had a lowering kit installed which I removed today to return it to stock height. I like the stance a lot better, but i now found out that the PO had shortened the kickstand. The bike leans over way too much now so I'm on the hunt for a replacement stand.
Other than that I'm just going to apply some blue rim tape and a reflective Air Force logo and enjoy the heck out of it!

welcome aboard and congrats on the new bike! Good to see a newbie with enough sense to wear gear!
As to the blinkers, you could always get an integrated tail light and be done with them.
ATGATT and ride safe.

CT is a great state to ride in. There are so many twisty windy roads with no traffic. Enjoy!

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm working on a bracket that should tuck them in a little tighter to the tail. its cheaper than getting a new tail light

yeah I may be young but I'm not stupid! well not when it comes to gear at least. haha. I don't have riding pants or boots but i at least wear jeans and boots with ankle support. it's all the budget allows for now

Excellent!

I'm in CT also, in Fairfield County. Drop me a PM if you'd like to go riding. As it happens I'm on vacation this week.

Mine's blue too… and has some cool stuff done to it that you might like.
