Fast flashers with incandescent bulbs, no leds?
Is this a normal problem, even with regular incandescent bulbs?
I've had my '05 for 2 years and have always lived with it. But for this spring and summer it's one of the things that's left on my to do list. Any one have this same problem without leds? Sometimes with the bike idling it'll start flashing at a normal pace but eventually it always goes into the fast flash just after 5 seconds or so. I'm gonna get a new flasher relay and see if that will fix it. |

A new flasher might fix it (not a relay). Or is it possible someone put different bulbs in than standard?

No they flash separately.
Would a led in the gauge cluster cause this? |

If the main turn signal bulbs have something like '12v 21w" or "12v 23w" stamped on the bases, they're probably original. 1156 is a correct replacement from any auto parts store.

There are smaller bulbs with lower wattage that still fit in the socket which will give a fast flash like the LED bulbs will.

bulbs could all be original size but the tungsten filament could have slightly shorted out on itself reducing the resistance while still lighting up i would replace the bulbs one by one but install a new flasher first and you should be good to go
