Hello from PHX

Hello, new rider here. Been riding a 250r since Oct '15 after taking my MSF course, never been on a bike before that. Can't wait to upgrade to a 650.

Welcome, here are just a few things to think about,

1.Get trained and licensed MSF Courses = CHECK

2.ALWAYS Wear protective gear -- ATGATT All The Gear, All The Time -- including a helmet manufactured to the standards set by a government agency.

3.ALWAYS Ride unimpaired by alcohol or other drugs

4.ALWAYS Ride within your own skill limits

5.Be a lifelong learner by taking refresher rider courses, and advanced rider course A.R.C.

A.T.G.A.T.T. so I may ride another day.

My 2¢,
The 250 is a great bike, especially once you get the suspension dialed in, and some better tires, with a skilled rider it can hang in the twisties with bigger bikes, and better too.

Welcome,

Take the time to master your 250R before you rush to the 650. I used to ride a CBR1100XX and while that power is a blast, these little 250's are just as exhilarating to ride and fun in the tight twisty stuff or in town. As others have said, it is much more fun to ride a slow bike fast than it is to ride a fast bike slow.
