My 09 ninjette- Weighed
So I was goofing around with one of my cars today, and when I walked past my scales I said, "hm- I know how much it's supposed to weigh, what's the real number?"
Uploaded with ImageShack.us 359 pounds, 2.14 gallons shy of completely full, with a 3 ounce trunk monkey riding on my rear seat. Weight reduction I've done: airbox replaced with kn r-0990 (-2.9lb, +?lb for 0990), Kleen air completely stripped (-2.5lb, +? for trans breather), sound deadening pulled out of the side panels (-2lb) , and about 4" cut off the stock muffler(-?lb) So by my calculations, my bike sits with a full tank at 373 lbs and would be just over 380 stock. Man this thing is heavy p.s. front weight distribution is about 48%, I did the best I could to hold the bike upright without fudging the numbers, but it's still a rough figure Last futzed with by drvr5; November 20th, 2011 at 08:25 PM. Reason: added weight bias |

Interesting!
At least it is very close to the official specs. I expected it to be even heavier. |
