Pod or replacement filter

Hi all,

Appreciated all info which better if I change pod filter or replacement filter if I using stock exhaust. For now I am running stock exhaust with remove snorkel a love that sound. I intend to using pod filter because of sound woarghhh.....but don't know it reduce power or not.

you'd be better off with a good quality replacement filter, not much gain from pods, other than a slight HP increase and noise. If you are a daily driver and ride in the rain, then stay away from the pods. You can get some pretty decent numbers with the stock air box and a good exhaust system.

^ this, just stick with the airbox unless you plan on doing other odd ball mods or plan on messing with your jetting a lot.

Not having the box really makes changing the jets a snap and it also gives you more room for gsxr shock swap or similar but other than that I don't see any other point to removing the stock air box kinda wish I kept mine in but now that it is out I won't put it back in for various reasons.

But most people don't seem to touch their jetting more than once and the shock swap is not for everyone so just keep it IMO

As mentioned there are other benefits to removing it. The extra room is really nice, everything is easier to do without it in the way.

If you plan on keeping the bike pretty simple you should probably leave it in.
