Is there a schedule for this GB? Such as dates for the drawing, dates for payment, projected shipping dates, etc...

We are now projecting April 5th for the first production article to be check fit on all the new tooling. Then approximately two - three weeks after that for production systems to start becoming available.

As indicated on the first page annoucement - GB prices will be honored to everyone on the list at the end (31st). In addition, anyone who has a FI Micro Programmer ordered at that time, can opt to have it shipped prior to the exhaust systems. You would pay for that item only. The FI Micro Programmer will have free shipping applied within the lower 48 states to GB members. We will pre-load a base map for whatever your current set-up is in position 1. We will then load the appropriate Area P full system Map in position 2. "

Update - Thank you for your participation and patience - Most of the tooling/fixtures are complete and many components have already made their way through the production process. We still do not have a confirmed date on when we will have our initial production units assembled. GB member orders will be receiving theirs first.

Our initial estimates look like they may be pushed back into May. As indicated in the beginning - We will be honoring the prices for GB members regardless. And of course you are under no obligation as well.

That actually works out very well for me, considering it's going to be a while before I actually buy my 300. It also gives me more time to gather my resources. Can you please put me down for a fuelmoto unit also? I don't think I'll be selling my 250, so I'll need it for the 300.

Group Buy Update.

Hello all you patient Area P fans,

I just wanted to update everyone on the new release date. So I have good news and not so good news. I 'll give you the good news first. Everyone that lives in the lower 48 states will be getting free shipping on your exhaust system. A little extra savings for waiting! The not so good news is the 300 exhaust systems are not going to be ready until mid June, but whats another month since we've already been patient for this long. Kerry and Area P want to make sure that everything is up to its high standards so it is taking longer than expected. This is a whole new systems started from scratch, nothing used from the previous gen 2008+ 250R's. If any one has any questions feel free to ask, otherwise just hold on a little while longer I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Thanks everyone

David

Mid June, not what I wanted to hear, but I'm hanging in there.

As much as I want it now, I was a little worried that like a lot of products the first production units sometimes don't have all the bugs worked out. I'm glad AP is taking the time to get it right and not rushing just to get it done and out the door.

Free shipping is much appreciated. Please keep us updated as time goes on.

Since everyone in the US of A gets free shipping, any chance of discounted shipping to India?

Would be nice to get a freebee for sure. I look forward to receiving mine soon. My bike sounds like a lawnmower to me with this stock pipe. Kinda sad sound considering this bike is a real blast to carve with.

So with the delay... any chance of extending the GB? Keep it open long enough and I just might not be able to resist!

Edit: I was half-joking when I wrote this, but @kbryant, if you're willing to extend the group buy, I would be down for signing up! Just let me know.

Just out of curiosity, is the "solo" mounting bracket included with the ultra high mount system?

So since I've got my 300 now can I at least get the micro tuner? I haven't payed much attention to this thread in a while. Is the exhaust not done yet, it that what's causing the delay?

David
Are we still on for mid June?

The Micro Programmers have been available since around January. Feel free to contact us directly if you would like to place an order. We're on schedule to have the exhausts available later this month.
