End tail cover thing (seat cowl)

Hi i bought like a tail hump thing for my ninja. The old seat unlocks off and the new end tail thing has a washer that fit in a hole then the hump locks in and the other end fits in the washer hole.

My problem is i lost the washer. Is there a name for it so i could buy another one?

Also what is the official name for this hump thing. : P

Thanks

A seat cowl.

I've been looking into purchasing one but need to get some more "functional" parts first.

You could always try contacting the company you bought the cowl from and see what they can do. Or see if a typical washer will do the trick? I can't see any harm in trying different options seeing if any sit right in there or not.

But please remember - I don't have one and not only that - I've never assembled/"installed" one before!

I'm kinda looking for a 3rd party one. The washer is strange it has a groove inside . Its like adouble washer.

I was hoping someone that has replaced theres before might know of where to buy one that doesn't cost £5 lol.

I bought the whole thing brand new for £20!

Here you go!

http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showt...t+cowl+grommet

The grommet can be found at hardware stores. I found mine at a home depot...not sure what the equivalent store in the UK would be. But it was in the washer/nut/bolt section.

I guess it depends where you are. But you should be able to find a hardware store (i.e. somewhere that sells screws, bolts, hammers etc).

In the post I linked, right at the start there's a picture of the bag that the grommet comes in. You could always find a store and just tell them you want to order one of those if they don't have it in stock.
