[300] Cam Chain Tensioner?

Can someone please educate me on this item? My bike is track only, stock engine approx. 3000 miles. Are the OEM tensioners reliable, worth upgrading, etc. Any info at all will be appreciated.

I had no tensioner issues with my 250 or 300 motors that I endurance raced. Around 10 three hour races on the 250 and 2 -3 3hr races with a 300 motor in the bike. All good.

Factory tensioner works just fine. Seems most problems people have are from worn & stretched cam-chain. Which wears out tensioner quickly and replacing CCT results in temporary fix, but it'll wear out quickly due to stretched chain.

Since tensioner doesn't get much lubrication, might be good idea to take it out and slather with synthetic grease as preventative measure. Measure cam-chain stretch while you're there.
