Post NCBIKE April 4th & 5th 2020

Posting this now a little early, this will be my 1st track weekend of the 2020 season. The org will be EvolveGT. I will be racing the 400 on 4/4 with Evolves MotoGladiator series. Always a good time down there. Would love to meet some folk from this forum down there that weekend!

Anybody else going?

Sounds fun enjoy! I'll be in Australia checking out Eastern Creek and Phillip Island with the California Superbike School!

had to cancel our month long family vacay to Australia so no riding Phillip Island or Eastern Creek for me this year! I know others have it much much worse so I'm just thankful that we didn't travel all that way only to have to turn around and come home.

Red face

Got the email this evening, the events have been cancelled at NCBIKE and Summit Point for the month of April, with EvolveGT. Due to the Corona Virus 🦠. Figured it was very likely as the date grew closer, now it’s official. Next up is early May at NYST.

I have been keeping my sanity by going for short rides when the weather is decent. I have been teaching my son, getting him ready for a track day whenever the season starts. He will be ready by the 1st rookie trackday in June, at NYST, hopefully we are up and running by then.

Nice. What kinds of things are you working on teaching him?

Proper body position and how to look thru the turns and look up ahead. I had to get on his case a few times about not getting off the seat and getting the head over by the mirror in turns. He has progressed quickly and is moving at a very good pace. He looks very comfortable on the bike. I started him on the 400, but he prefers the 600 now.

We will keep going out of course, will do some longer rides when the weather cooperates!!!
