My HD is up to around 5k on it so far. I've also done a couple of 200 mile riding days. It's addicting the more you do it really. And what's great is that if you take mostly back road highways with few stops and speed limits of 45-55, you end up getting better gas mileage so that you can go even further. I call that a win/win.

2 gallon tank is killing me. at 1.5 gallons I have to change it to reserve. Thats only about 80-90 miles on 1.5 gallons. so about 56 MPG? idk if I did my math right. lol

If you take the 90miles on 1.5gallons, it would be 60mpg.

so my ninja Jade Kawasaki was killed in a car crash (and nearly so was I)
so i met this new girl: Katsumi Honda....
here she is the first day I brought her home.
need some better and more recent pics of me on her

been riding again for about 2 months now, big jump from a 250 to a 600... weight, throttle control... plus getting over my fear of intersections due to the "accident" (hit and run by a cager who was eventually found)... left leg (achilles tendon repaired removed and rebuilt in 3 surgeries) still not 100% either but Im getting there... and most important Im back in the saddle

also pictured me in my new gear for the track, my son on Kat at a local bike night, and my son on his 50cc mini moto

@Robinhood: Amazing picture. You look really relaxed on the bike: which is good

@Shaol1n Monk: I prefer the GSXR personally, but your CBR must be from a good year as it looks pretty swarve. Love the pocket bike shot too!

thanks akima, its a 2007 which is a good year. i am actually selling it tho to buy either an 08 R6 or an 09 zx6r... the honda is a great street bike, but i want something a bit more track oriented.

@Tony B: that whole front wheel looks quite unique: the spokes, the brake and the mudguard. Also: what's with the white overalls? You a butcher?

I don't know about unique, it's a Twin leading shoe drum brake, (actually, come to think of it, it might even be a double sided one). Virtually all the bikes I have ever ridden or owned had spokes.
A butcher ? ha ha, guess what my surname is ..........

No, we're at Brooklands museum, I'm one of the volunteers on the motorcycle team. It means I get to ride all kinds of things I would previously only dreamt about. That bike is a Manx Norton, it has one of the last three Manx engines ever made. The engine had originally been destined for a formula 500 racing car.

Anyway, got to dash, it's our vintage section's annual barbecue tonight, and I'm going on my pre-war bike, (Ninja rear shock has died ) ).
Weather's not good though .................

I come and go, but mainly I stick to the off-topic section since I still don't have a bike of my own.

I'm going to get him goggles and a leather harness/vest. Also, he is strapped into that bag so he can't jump/fall out. Way safer than those harley guys that just put their dog on the tank.

For more pics of him, see this thread.

So I don't have any of me + the Ninjette yet... I have that perpetual problem of being the dude WITH the camera, meaning I've got shots of other people but few(er) of myself. I do have a couple decent shots of myself... need to get one with the Ninjette at some point thought. Click on any of these for a larger version:

Here's the bike:

It was an incredible opportunity, and I learned a TON. Rickey is a great instructor, and the Kawasaki folks put on a first class event. Getting to talk to the Kawi folks, Rickey, Ashon Dickerson, and journalists like Brock Davidson (among other things, like owning Brock's Performance) and Troy Siahaan was really awesome. Brock wrote up a piece for Dragbike.com, and Troy did a piece on Motorcycle.com. Check out their work over on those two sites, and look at more pictures and my write-up over at my blog: Galaxieman's Garage.

Here's me in Mulholland (Snake Mtn) back in mid June. First time going up there on the 250. Not going fast at all, but it made for a nice photo that I ended up purchasing.

Hopefully I can go ride here again soon with some of the new b-day gifts I just got (new Held Thrux Gloves and A* GP+ leather pants). Will be heading up to Laguna Seca for the MotoGP race this this upcoming weekend (in the cage).

Ahh I am so jelly. I would love to watch the Laguna Seca race in person. Will have to settle for Indy though. Great picture, btw.

Get a mesh bruv...nothing beats it for the sweltering weather we're experiencing. Even in my "vented" textile Icons, I'm sweating just as much as if I was in my leathers...mesh though? it's niiiice

@NikkitaNinja: that's a really strange, but kinda-nice looking bike. It almost looks like a prototype created back in the 1970s.
