Oil filter o-ring different sizes??

Hi guys, got a bit confused about subject. I have 3yo ninja, all this time I`ve changed oil myself, and everytime I bought oil filter and o-rings from the shop I got my bike-original Kawasaki parts. Last time I decided to save some money and got I think Emgo filter and o-rings. When I started fitting I found out the big o-ring is much thicker then original . Original is about 2.5 mm, and Emgo was 4 mm. Original just slips in a channel, Emgo doesn`t want to go in.Is it normal to have o-ring this thick? I re-used old one, but not sure -for next oil change I would like to get K&N set from ebay- what o-rings they have? Thanks.

I bought a box of goodies from Motorcycle Superstore including a K&N 401 which came with the correct o-ring. Just get the K&N part, can't go wrong really.

Which oil are you planning on using? For my next oil change I'll be using Delo 400 (for diesel engines mainly but suitable for bikes & wet clutches)

Linkin-thanks for replay) I`m using Delo 2 oil changes already- very happy with it. Gear changes so much smoother then with motul.

The K&N 401 kit comes with the correct o-ring, but there have been a quite few kits circulating around that have o-rings that don't fit. Try the WIX filter.

All my filters came with the O-Ring, but I just get the Kawasaki filter.
