Help me pick an exhaust
I want to put a slip on exhaust on my bike. I don't want a full system because I don't want to mess with jetting(at least not yet).
Right now the choices are between the competition werkes(in either gold or titanium finish) or the two brothers black series in either carbon fiber or titanium. What say the hive mind?

I thought the general consensus w/slip-ons was that you still needed to at least shim your needles. Have you already shimmed your needles? I know it's not the same as rejetting but since that's your only reason for not doing a full exhaust, I'm kind of assuming you'd just rather not mess with the carbs at all.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm running stock exhaust (always will) and as-yet-to-be shimmed needles (winter project, along w/pulling the snorkel) so I'm only speaking from what I recall reading on the forums in the past. |

If you do any sort of exhaust change you need to fiddle with the carbs to keep the bike running as well as it should. If you dont, the bike will lean out, even from just a slipon. My recent decision has been to use the money I would of used jetting and putting an exhaust on my ninjette to go out and buy a proper pair of leathers I can use on the track.

Get the Area P full and re-jet
Its winter, and there is a Group Buy for the Area P systems, go with that and go thorough the trouble of re-jetting, it's worth it. Or if your somewhat technically inclined you can covert to EFI like I did, DIY of the new system and vid coming soon.

Well I gonna do the slip on and see how things go if I need to mess with the carbs, I'll order the jet kit and pay someone to install it, cause I don't wanna mess with em.

I don't like the look of the area p otherwise I'd jump on it lol. I was looking into doing the efi conversion though, and I'd rather spend the extra cash on that than worry about messing with the carbs, how much did it run you and where's you get the kit?

Slip on or full, either way you are going to have to mess with the carbs. Might as well save the money from buying two exhausts and get the Area P and the jet kit and then pay someone to tinker with it. You said you were considering full anyways. Also its gonna be hard to find another group buy for the Area P.
Okay, I tried my best, lol. http://www.ecotrons.com/Kawasaki_Nin...c_EFI_kit.html If u truly want to do the efi conversion, do that first and wait for the exhaust. I do stress you need to do ALOT of research and be somewhat technically inclined. Everybody is different and requires different solutions to problems. During my install i decided I'd rather get rid of the stock airbox and exhaust. |

I'll be the only one to say this, but mine came with a Muzzy and I love it. Hubby has a Two Brothers on his CBR 600 and it sounds fuggin phenomenal. I'd love to hear what one sounds like on our 250s!
