Aloha from Oahu!!
I have been riding for a little under a year, but I've put about 7k miles on my 2008 Ninja 250 (mostly commuting across the island). It is my first bike, and I love it! My husband rides too, but he has a Harley Sportster 883. Needless to say, we have different riding styles, so I wouldn't mind finding some riding buddies on the island when I'm in the mood for some non cruiser riding.
I also want to learn as much as possible. I skydive as well, and I have found over the years that the best way to keep yourself out of bad situations is knowledge. |

Thanks for the info Gary, this is my first Mustang. My mom has one as well - guess I caught that fever from her.
I would love to join you all for a ride. I'm not sure how soon I'll be able to start participating because we have a lot of stuff to plan for before the holidays, but I'm definitely in after that. |

i can't believe the holiday season is coming up fast. i still haven't worked off the extra body fat i built up from last year's season. |

Thanks Gary. This Sunday might work. I have to change the oil in my bike, so if I can manage to get that done on Saturday, I should have time. Let me know the when and where and hopefully I can make it. My husband and I tried to go for a ride last weekend - Kaneohe down around Hawaii Kai and into town - however we hit the traffic in Waimanalo and decided to turn around. Thus, I'm in need of some fun this weekend.

waimanalo area usually has traffic when i ride around there, but the segment is pretty short. i would say less than a mile. i know they have some sort of road construction going on that passes right in front of norfolks.
do you have any preference for a route? we could use a suggestion. i was kind of thinking up the pali, through kaneohe, towards north shore, and maybe hit snake road. or we could just do the hawaii kai, sandy beach (hopefully get our pics taken by that bike photographer) waimanalo (hit the short segment of traffic), norfolks, 13 turns, and come back on the h3 (i accidentally came back on the pali last time). i am definitely open to new routes. running out of places to go. |

I have not been on snake road yet, but I've heard about it, so that would be fun. However, the shorter ride around hawaii kai might fit into my schedule better. I definitely don't have any different routes than what you suggested. Again, just let me know what the plan is and hopefully I can make it work.
