It used to have one of the ball bearing/monkey fist keychains, but I cut the ball off and melted to end of the cord. I did not like the thought of that weight hanging off my ignition barrel.

Bingo. They are quite heavy believe it or not. Inside is a steel ball about an inch in diameter.

My bro-in-law is a police officer & he got me a nice black and blue one from the police academy. I use it on my regular key chain..love it

After having to replace the ignition column of my first car I keep the car key on a quick disconnect and the rest of my "junk" stays in the cup holder. I would advise against leaving dead weight on a car's ignition, but it most likely isn't an issue for the Ninjette. I just wanted to be extra cautious.

Plus I have a couple other "methods of deterrent" so I have no need for a keychain weapon.
