I use it on mine about once a week and it works great. Just spray some on a paper towel, spread it on your bike, and buff it out with a dry paper towel. It doesn't take long and your bike looks like it's in showroom condition when you're done.

Why not just use some modern liquid wax? Or is it the lemon smell that makes all the difference?

^^^ I think It's the lemon smell that makes the difference! A guy in my riding group uses it religiously on his Ducati. He's the official group airfreshener.

Its quick, cheap and easy to find. I don't use it EXCLUSIVELY but it's in the cleaning arsenal. I would give it the equivalent of Honda Polish which is about 8 bucks last time I bought some. I think my can is about 4 years old so I am sure price has gone up. Goldwing guys love the stuff. When I rode with the Goldwing chapter they showed me what they used to keep their bikes sooo clean. Meguires number 6, turtle wax carnuba, honda polish, lemon pledge all get a turn eventually.

It's great for getting dirt off without scratching the paint job which is great since I use a tank bag a lot. I use Pledge in between a good cleaning/wax.

Pledge is also great for your helmet! I always have a can when I'm on a road trip. It takes care of the bugs pretty well without ruining my helmet.

I use it on the outside of my shield. Never on the bike itself. Repells water like RainX and makes my helmet smell good.

That is exactly what I was thinking...PAPER TOWEL??? I have to say your bike will not look showroom condition if you use paper towels, it will be absolutely full of swirl marks.. DO NOT USE PAPER TOWEL, buy some cheap microfiber cloths and use them.

Lemon Pledge user for years on all my bikes. Using this instead of Honda Polish saved me a ton since the household had multiple bikes and we went through polish like toilet paper...sometimes faster than toilet paper.

Just tried it, washed the bike and gave it a good soap scrubbing, dried it off, then sprayed it directly on the bike (lightly, one spray per fender) and the took a microfiber towel and wiped it around. The paint is shiny and mirrored again, just like it was in 2006! (Minus the deep gashes from dropping it )

You really should, I'm quite amazed on how nice my paint looks now. Being a 2006 with brand new looking paint is nice
I remember using this stuff back when i used to play the drums, it did wonders on those too!

Dear god, I hope you're all joking. Especially with the paper towel remarks. I know everyone's idea of perfect paint is quite different. Those of you that actually do this, take a picture of your paint under a detail light, there's no WAY it's not covered in swirls.

If your paint looks fine to you then more power to ya but don't preach things that are going to ruin a finish for others looking for advice.

I clearly said I used a microfiber towel. I don't know how it looks under a "detail light" but I know it looks great outside in the sun and at night, the place you usually see it at. If someone wants to walk up to my bike with a "detail light" then they are welcome to judge the "swirls"

Totally serious right now: what does a paint swirl look like and is it permanent? I use simple green and a cotton cloth to clean my bike and I don't see any swirls? I wax it with a cotton cloth as well. This is the first I've heard about swirls.

I dunno. I have some pictures of my bike after my most recent wash/wax and it looks pretty good to me.

Chris don't know if i would use simple green it's pretty strong stuff for paint. As for swirl, that comes from detail terms. The odds are you have them but they show up more on darker colours of paint. For example if you have ever taken you car through a car wash that has the big brushes, look at your paint in sunlight and you will see what swirl are all about. And yes you can remove them but there is a fairly lengthy process of doing it and it is always best to use good products, like meguire s or Mother's polish. And remember there is a difference between polish and wax. Always polish first then apply a good wax, preferably better than lemon pledge. Hope this helps dude.

Swirls will look like very light spiderweb type scratches. They're very fine scratches in the clear coat and will happen even from running a dry cloth over the paint if it's dusty/dirty at all. You should be able to see them in the sunlight at certain angles, especially visible if you move your head back and forth.

Everyone's idea of perfect paint is different. If you can't see any swirls and you think it looks great then that's all that matters.
