Careful your exhaust doesn't toast it

If you notice, the bike picture seems to have an aftermarket exhaust with more of an upsweep.

I have a friend who put givis on with the stock exhuast, he had to add a taper to it to prevent it from toasting the cases

Probably simple enough to make a deflector for the pipe or add a heat shield to one of the bags.

Got pics of the racks? Were they hard to install?

Haven't purchased them yet. The bags are on back order until mid january. I have seen the tubular mounts, and with the bags off of the bike they aren't really too noticeable. They're very clean and simple.

You say you've seen the mounts, do they look kinda like this?

I no longer have my rear pegs on so I wonder?

No, but very simular. Those are Givi's soft bag supports used to hold soft luggage off the bike. The supports for the locking bags are shaped a little differently, and may not be quite that large either. I'll be ordering mine after the first of the year. I'll mount them and post pics right away.

Really... It's, like, the 10th of the year and you haven't ordered them yet????

Yeah, I'm anxious to see this too. Need a detailed DIY on it with a lot of pics as well as:
Where ordered?
How Much?
Cases?
etc....

Thanks Kevin.

I originally inquired about them in November and was told the bags were back-ordered until Jan 15th. I waited until today to order a set (a brief lapse in finances) and was told they wouldn't be available until mid April.

Whew. A bit of time to save up. I'm drooling; I have an intense desire to put a ZG Sport-Touring windscreen on, tail box and side cases, and have people think I'm a $15k BMW sport-touring machine until I reveal that it's really a 250.

No, of course not! Another inquiry, still back ordered, and now they say the price may be going up. Kinda chicken-**** since I was already quoted a price. They now say the middle of April.
