Do you talk to your bike

Do you talk to your bike? Also did you name her an if so what did you name her?

I talk to mine, I give her a nice pep talk before and hard riding and when I giver her a good wax/polishing.

I just call her the ninjette.

I voted yes, but I don't talk to Zoey (that's her name) too often. But I do give her a pat on the gas tank quite often

Talking

Definitely! I named my bike Kermy (my kindergarten students helped me pick the name) and now Kermy even has personalized plates. I talk to him all the time lol

Yes, all the time. Cherry, especially when I'm wrenching on her (begging her to help me out and make it easy), or asking her to do things she doesn't like to do (like riding in the rain - I'm usually apologizing).....

I talk to my bike, Simone, after every ride. If I think it was a great spirited ride I thank her and give her a pat on the passenger seat (my equivalent of a pat on the rear).

If I feel I didn't do "well" riding that day I apologize to her and let her know I'll do better next time.

Anytime I'm in the garage I always talk to her. Especially if she's whining (gas tank) I tell her we'll be on the road soon. And if I happen to be in the garage at night, I tell her good night.

I have to watch when the wife is around though... she's the jealous type.

No. I dont talk to my bike and I don't have a cute or clever name for it. Looking at the poll results it would appear that I am in the minority. I never gave it a thought to anthropomorphize it. Personally, I would feel a bit silly doing so. But to each his own (or her own).

yea always pat her on the gas tank, and wipe imaginary tears from her eyes when the fuel tank makes an air traped squicky noise, so i tell her dont cry. i take it as a sign of give a bath. i named her cosita witch is a diminutive in spanish for little thing.

No name other then just ninja, but I do talk to her. I always tell her it's ok when she cries sitting in the garage or parked elsewhere and tell her how damn sexy she looks all shined up! I gave her a bunch of praise and some pats on the tank after my K&N and 106 jet install first ride. I was very happy and let her know lol

My bike has a name and I talk to it. You'll only hear me say "C'mon MotherF-----" in times when the mofo (it's name) can't deliver the torque I need.
